Real Estate Collaborative, LLC (REC) was created in 2002 to focus on the development of mixed-use, infill projects that become gathering places for the communities in which they are built. REC brings together the talents of real estate professionals with a broad range of experiences in the mix of uses that enliven with a keen and the understanding of the elements that must be combined to make them work.
Traffic congestion, loss of green space, the cost of infrastructure, and a desire for more housing options have all made mixed-use infill development a powerful strategy for revitalizing communities, stimulating economic growth and protecting the environment.
In addition, there is a strong desire in our cities for community interaction – the need to be with other people in places close to where they live that are inviting, engaging, and safe. We desire places that have been designed, built, and maintained to lift our spirit.
REC understands the need for a physical environment that promotes walking and bicycling. These streetscapes need to offer comfortable spaces with proper landscaping that are well maintained.
REC believes in the community benefits of well designed, high-density, mixed-use environments. REC recognizes that movement through and around an infill district by all modes of transportation must be safe, comfortable, and efficient; that parking must be adequate, accessible and secure; and that the services to the district must be effective.
Above all else, REC believes in creating sustainable environments.
